Peacock Feather
This image has a solid white background which makes for a complete focus of attention on the subject.
Lily
This image of a lily has a simplified background. The aperture is adjusted to let in maximum amount of light. The result is loss
of sharpness in the background. You will
notice a lack of focus or sharpness in the background objects.
Marina
The picture of the marina has the background included in focus. With the aperture set to let in a minimal amount of light at f 16 the focus
gets sharper and the background becomes clear. Do this when the objects in the
background ADD to the story of your subject.
Pink Flower
This flower follows the rule of thirds. The frame looks best when cut into thirds.
Cute Boy
This adorable little boy's picture also has the rule of thirds applied to it. As you can see I have put the dividing lines right on the picture to show the thirds.
Country Path
This path is an example of leading lines. The edges of the pathway go to the corners of the photo. These lines draw the viewer into the photo. Leading lines can also be used to draw the viewer to the center of interest.

This doorway is a frame for the center of interest. Defined as some object in the FOREGROUND that surrounds or frames the center
of interest. It adds depth
to a photo.
Mercedes
This car is a strong center of interest. The Mercedes is in the dead center of the photo.
